This cymbal had extensive lathe cracks from poorly drilled rivet holes. We cut out the damaged area and reinstalled the rivets (properly) closer to the outside edge. This is now a really articulate cymbal with a roaring crash and a super short decay save for the rivet sizzle. Surely not as complex as it was originally but still a really cool sounding cymbal. This is a really interesting alternative crash/ride or perhaps an economic way to get a more realistic jazz ride sound without having to pay a premium price. Check out the video link with good headphones.
