Truly a collector's item, this Wuhan Chinese Cymbal dates back to the 1960s/70s prior the the US having a trade agreement with China!
Prior to 1979, Chinese musical instruments were not available in the United States and percussionists from the U.S. had to use a "by any means necessary" approach to bring authentic sounds into this country. This instrument arrived in this country under those secretive circumstances. The center hole is a narrow 5/16" that is too small for cymbal stand mounting as this was originally intended to be a hand cymbal for traditional dance accompaniment. We are selling it as is but will increase the hole diameter for cymbal stand use at the buyer's request.
