Strong Legato Medium Hard Marimba Mallets - Green Yarn - Birch

The Innovative Percussion Mark Ford IP813 Medium Hard Strong Legato Birch Marimba Mallets feature larger rubber cores than the Legato Series for a full tone and stronger fundamental, while still using an extra-soft yarn to produce legato tone at all dynamic levels. The mallets feature natural birch handles, allowing the player additional control in demanding performance situations.
Mark Ford, renowned educator, performer, and Coordinator of Percussion at the University of North Texas, has assisted with the design of this line of mallets to meet the needs of today's contemporary marimba soloist.

Mark Ford is a marimba artist and the Coordinator of Percussion at The University of North Texas College of Music in Denton, Texas.  As a Past-President of the Percussive Arts Society and the coordinator of one of the largest percussion programs in the United States at UNT, Ford is an active performer and composer.  Mark has been featured as a marimba soloist throughout the United States at universities, festivals and music conferences.
