What is a double drop? It's very similar to a standard hi-hat clutch you would use on your hi-hat cymbals except as its name implies, you can also drop the top hat. This one is made by DW.  So when you want to play double bass. And you need to move your left foot to your left pedal. It makes it much easier to use different pedals and to pull different sounds out of your drum set.
