Mahogany is the softest of the three most common shell tonewoods. The softwood construction produces more bottom end than birch or maple, which have harder wood constructions.
- 14 Inch Deep Bass Drum- The Catalina Club shell pack also includes a shallow 14-inch bass drum, which makes playing expressive and easier to control.
